AI Lab - ML and Data Science freeform submission

Abi is a global virtual care platform, providing patients with on-demand, omni-channel access to healthcare professionals in 40 countries around the world. Our mission is to make professional healthcare as easy to access as advice from a friend.

By radically reducing barriers to professional healthcare access, we contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 "to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all." Our AI Lab is continuously looking to engage with and hire great Data Science / Machine Learning (ML) professionals. Should you be considered for a potential vacancy in our AI Lab, your involvement will be critical in building and improving the AI / ML solutions and infrastructure supporting our products and services, and in contributing to the continuous innovation cycle of the company.

Responsibilities

1. You will contribute to the development and evolution of the AI-based features of our services, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our models and solutions in a real-life and fast-growing global environment.
2. You will use your experience to coach and support more junior colleagues in the AI Lab, promoting a strong teamwork and effective working environment.
3. Study and transform data science prototypes.
4. Design, train and retrain machine learning systems.
5. Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools.
6. Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks.
7. Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods.
8. Run machine learning tests and experiments.

Requirements

1. You are available for a full-time role, working remotely and / or in our office in Barcelona.
2. You are a resident of Spain, Ireland or UK.
3. You are passionate about AI powered products and services, and are confident that your technical skills in the field will add value to Abi's mission.
4. You can absorb new information rapidly and think out of the box.
5. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. You are curious by nature and you apply that curiosity in your professional life.
7. You are comfortable working independently and managing your own time.
8. You prefer to work in an international environment.
9. The startup world appeals to you as a professional choice.

Your Skills And Experience

1. Strong knowledge of ML algorithms, statistics and software development.
2. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn).
3. Experience working in the cloud (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML or GC ML).
4. Excellent communication skills. You speak and write English at a professional level.
