Joppy is seeking an AI Governance & Compliance Engineer to ensure AI systems stay auditable, compliant, and trustworthy across EMEA, US, LATAM, and APAC. You will translate regulatory needs into concrete technical requirements for engineering and build the compliance infrastructure that supports regulators and enterprise clients.

This role spans Legal, Engineering, and Security, focusing on dashboards, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPL), DPIAs, and risk classification, while keeping

• Experience translating regulatory language into technical requirements.
• Experience designing AI compliance dashboards and risk metrics.

• Knowledge of GDPR/CPRA/LGPD/PIPL data privacy regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor regulatory requirements across regions and identify changes affecting AI systems.
• Translate regulatory interpretations into actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Advise engineering on compliance features such as monitoring, logging, audit trails, human oversight, and risk classification.
• Design and maintain AI compliance dashboards and metrics, including human-in-the-loop measurements.
• Define data sources, logic, and limitations for compliance and risk reporting.
• Conduct AI risk and impact assessments aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 and EU AI Act.
• Keep AI system documentation up to date to support risk assessment by Legal.
• Own technical compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and PIPL.
• Support data mapping, DPIAs, and privacy-by-design reviews.
• Act as the technical liaison between Engineering/Product, Legal, Security, and enterprise clients.
• Strong working knowledge of AI regulations and frameworks including EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF.
• Experience translating legal language into concrete technical requirements.
• Monitor regulatory landscapes across global regions.
• Hands-on engineering experience covering system architecture, code, data flows, and AI model behavior.
• Advise on compliance features for engineering teams.
• Elevate ambiguous issues to Legal when needed.
• Proficient with AI tools for research, drafting, and analysis.
• Capable of designing and maintaining compliance dashboards and risk assessments.
• Experience in data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPL) and privacy-by-design practices.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration with Enterprise clients.

We're looking for an experienced AI Governance & Compliance Engineer to ensure that AI systems remain compliant, auditable, and trustworthy across global regions including EMEA, US, LATAM, and APAC. This role bridges Legal, Engineering, and Security, translating regulatory needs into technical implementation and building the compliance infrastructure that supports confident operations with regulators and enterprise clients.

• Monitor regulatory requirements across multiple regions, including early identification of relevant changes affecting AI systems
• Translate legal interpretations into actionable technical requirements for engineering teams
• Advise engineering on compliance features such as monitoring, logging, audit trails, human oversight, and risk classification
• Design and maintain AI compliance dashboards and metrics, including human-in-the-loop measurements
• Define data sources, logic, and limitations for compliance and risk reporting
• Conduct AI risk and impact assessments aligned with frameworks like ISO/IEC 42001 and the EU AI Act
• Keep AI system documentation up to date, supporting legal on assessing AI risk tiers

• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, including working closely with Enterprise clients
