Essity in Barcelona is seeking an AI Architect to provide technical leadership for Essity’s AI initiatives, translating business vision into scalable, compliant architectures.

You will collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers and business leaders to design end-to-end AI solutions, apply governance, and accelerate impactful AI projects.

Formación

• 8+ years of combined experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, ML or Gen-AI.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning models, generative AI, data analytics, and statistics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain Essity’s AI Architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Translate business vision into technical implementation, designing architecture for AI initiatives.
• Design end-to-end AI solutions for both everyday use cases and complex, value-adding projects.
• Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and AI professionals to identify, prioritize, and pilot AI use cases.
• Align technical implementation with stakeholder requirements, gathering inputs to ensure solutions meet current and future needs.
• Research and recommend the right technologies from open-source and commercial offerings for AI initiatives.
• Conduct audits across data, models, and software engineering, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with AI risk standards.

About the role:

Ready to shape the future of AI at Essity? The AI Architect provides overall technical leadership for Essity’s AI initiatives. This role is critical to designing fit-for-purpose platforms, translating business vision into technical reality, and ensuring compliance with agreed risk boundaries. You will collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, AI engineers and technology partners to deliver impactful AI solutions.

What you will do:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Essity’s AI Technical Architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and consistency.
• Translate business vision into technical implementation, assessing feasibility and designing architecture that supports strategic goals.
• Design and guides implementation of end-to-end AI solutions for both everyday use cases and complex, value-adding projects.
• Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and AI professionals to identify, prioritize, and pilot AI use cases.
• Align technical implementation with stakeholder requirements, gathering inputs to ensure solutions meet current and future needs.
• Research and recommend the right technologies from open-source and commercial offerings for AI initiatives.
• Conduct audits across data, models, and software engineering, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with AI risk standards.
• Assess AI services and support model recalibration, including retraining models as needed.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience in AI architecture or similar roles, with proven ability to design and implement scalable AI solutions (8+ years of combined experience in Data Analytics/ Data Science/ ML/ Gen-AI)
• Deep knowledge of machine learning models, Generative AI, data analytics, and statistics; expertise in technology strategy and architecture design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong organizational and project management abilities, and the capacity to transform insights into tangible outcomes.
