COMET Aerospace is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to design, analyze, and ensure the structural integrity of aircraft and spacecraft components. You will perform advanced simulations (FEA), select materials for lightweight designs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include project management for small teams, customer interfacing, and development of technical documentation.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Structural Analysis.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aeronautical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
• Experience in additive manufacturing.
• Experience working with deployable space structures.
• Experience with finite element software, preferably MSC Software suite (Nastran, Patran).

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and design space and aeronautical structures and components for aircraft and spacecraft.
• Perform advanced simulations such as finite element analysis (FEA).
• Select and optimize materials to achieve lightweight and efficient designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting testing, validation and certification processes.
• Lead small work teams on projects, acting as primary customer interface and managing planning and scheduling.
• Develop technical documentation.

As a Structural Analysis Engineer in the Aerospace Sector, your main function will be to design, analyze, and ensure the structural integrity and performance of aircraft and spacecraft components under operational conditions.

Main functions to develop:

• Analysis and design of space and aeronautical structures designs and develops structural components for aircraft and spacecraft


• Performs advanced simulations such as finite element analysis (FEA)


• Select and optimize materials to achieve lightweight and efficient designs


• Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting testing, validation, and certification processes.


• Performed Project Management activities for small work teams, including leading and supervising technical tasks, serving as the primary customer interface, and managing project planning and scheduling


• Development of technical documentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Structural Analysis


• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering


• Experience in additive manufacturing


• Experience working with deployable space structures.


• Experience with finite element software, preferably from the MSC Software suite (e.g., Nastran, Patran), will be considered an asset
