WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As an SST Advanced Engineer in the SST / STM division, your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading the technical specification, design, development, and validation of SST / STM systems and services, including both hardware and software.
• Supporting or leading key work packages related to orbit determination, conjunction analysis, and sensor network optimization (among other SST-related topics).
• Interacting with customers and stakeholders (e.g., ESA, EUSST, national agencies) on technical requirements, developments, and system evolution.
• Supporting technical reviews, system integration, and validation campaigns.
• Providing technical coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, operations).
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and quality standards.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

GMV is looking for a technically qualified senior engineer with a strong background in space engineering, orbital mechanics, or related disciplines to take a leadership role in developing and implementing Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM) solutions.

This position is ideal for a systems engineer, subject matter expert, or technical architect who wants to play a more strategic and influential role in high-impact space projects.

We seek engineers who bring new ideas, innovative ways of working, and a passion for space sector challenges. In this role, you will be a key technical point of contact, supporting solution specification, design, systems integration, and validation activities. While you may contribute to project management, your primary focus will be on the technical definition, architecture, and evolution of SST / STM services and systems.
