Sener is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead complex aerial vehicle and airborne system development programmes at our Tres Cantos work center. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing customer relationships, and ensuring performance across scope, schedule, cost and quality to support next-generation aerial platforms within collaborative industrial frameworks.

• Programme and project management of aerial vehicle developments.
• Management of multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Planning, monitoring and control of project schedule, budget and risks.
• Customer interface and reporting activities.
• Coordination of technical reviews and programme milestones.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation and project planning.
• Coordination with certification, airworthiness and regulatory authorities when required.
• Management of national and international consortium projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical and quality requirements.

Sener is currently looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the execution of complex aerial vehicle and airborne system development programmes in national and international environments to join our team at our Tres Cantos work center.

We are a pioneering engineering company in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defence, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing customer relationships, and ensuring programme performance in terms of scope, schedule, cost and quality. The role will play a key part in the development of next-generation aerial platforms and associated mission systems within collaborative industrial and institutional frameworks.

What you will do:

• Programme and project management of aerial vehicle developments.

• Management of multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.

• Planning, monitoring and control of project schedule, budget and risks.

• Customer interface and reporting activities.

• Coordination of technical reviews and programme milestones.

• Support business development activities, proposal preparation and project planning.

• Coordination with certification, airworthiness and regulatory authorities when required.

• Management of national and international consortium projects.

• Ensure compliance with contractual, technical and quality requirements.

What we expect from you:

• Proven experience managing aerospace or defence development programmes.

• Good understanding of aircraft development lifecycles.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and project management methodologies.

• Experience working with customers, authorities and industrial partners.

• Experience in international collaborative programmes is highly valued.

• Knowledge of certification and airworthiness processes is an asset.

• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

• Advanced MS Office.

• Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools.

• Knowledge of Jira, Primavera or other project management tools would be an asset.
