Job Description

We are looking for a passionate web development professional with experience in open source frameworks and a keen interest in AEM. You should be willing to take responsibility and share your expertise. If developing and growing with us excites you, Cognizant Netcentric could be your home. You will be responsible for the entire delivery of projects, working closely with the project manager to ensure client satisfaction.

Main tasks include:

  1. Defining solution architecture and interacting with the client's architects
  2. Writing and refining technical specifications
  3. Providing effort estimations for requirements
  4. Leading the development team (distributed across various locations)
  5. Reviewing code, coaching, and guidance
  6. Ensuring infrastructure requirements are met
  7. Synchronizing with the project's lead system engineer for quality and performance
  8. Coordinating with the test manager
  9. Managing release processes
  10. Developing critical system components to ensure a reliable work environment (IDE setup, Maven, CICD, Docker, SonarQube)

What do we require?

  • Hands-on experience with AEM
  • Experience leading a team, both technically and in people management
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of Java, especially in web projects
  • Ability to identify requirements and define technical solutions
  • Extensive experience leading Java-based web projects
  • Knowledge of patterns and best practices for clean, quality code
  • Experience developing RESTful Web Services
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue or React
  • Experience with testing at all levels: unit, integration, functional, performance
  • Ability to extend existing products and leverage APIs
  • Familiarity with build tools like Maven
  • Experience with version control tools, especially Git
  • Familiarity with task management and documentation tools like JIRA
  • Proactive mindset, idea sharing, enthusiasm, and openness to continuous improvement
  • Comfort with giving and receiving feedback

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with Test Driven Development
  • Knowledge of Java Content Repository API (Jackrabbit / CRX)
  • Knowledge of OSGi and Declarative Services
  • Experience in professional development environments like Eclipse IDE
