A leading company in packaging solutions is seeking a VAT and Customs Specialist to ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations. The role involves supporting affiliates, managing tax structures, and promoting understanding of tax principles across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and extensive experience in an international environment.

Formación

• At least five years of relevant experience in an international environment.

Provide mainly VAT and customs support to Swiss and International Bobst Group affiliates to :

• Develop & maintain an environment which ensures compliance with all relevant Indirect Tax regulations (VAT; Customs; withholding taxes and other indirect taxes).
• Support Bobst affiliates in setting up appropriate compliant indirect tax and Customs structures.
• Participate in internal reorganizations and new systems configuration for proper indirect tax management.
• Develop and monitor a Global Indirect Tax Organization at the level of the affiliates.
• Promote good understanding and adherence of Indirect Tax principles, concepts and related processes throughout the whole organization.
• Ensure alignment and effective business partnering with key stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Logistics, Finance etc.).

Job Profile

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
• At least five years of relevant experience in working in an international and multicultural environment either in the industry or in an accounting firm.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills, ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and a general aptitude for quantitative analysis.
• Considerable knowledge and understanding of VAT and customs concepts, including intercompany services, transfers of tangible goods, transfer of intellectual property and other financial transactions.
• Considerable knowledge of managing functional analyses interviews to identify, assess and document intercompany transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, fluent in French and German and / or Italian (a plus).
• Experience in project coordination and management and strong ability to communicate and influence accordingly at internal and external (mainly advisors) level.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong ability to communicate internally.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and good financial analysis-modelling skills (a plus).
• Self-initiated and result-oriented with the ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.
