A leading tech company is seeking a DBA Cloud professional in Madrid. The role involves maintaining and migrating databases, ensuring high availability, and utilizing cloud capabilities. With a focus on automation and compliance, the ideal candidate should have 3+ years of DBA experience in Oracle, SQL, Postgres, and MySQL. Fluency in English and Spanish is required. This position offers a hybrid work model and competitive daily rates.

Formación

• At least 3+ years of experience as an Oracle / SQL / Postgres / MySQL production and development DBA.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (B2 Level).
• Knowledge of compliance and ITIL initiatives.

SEEKING: DBA Cloud

We are looking for a professional with solid experience as an Oracle / SQL / Postgres / MySQL production and development DBA, with Cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Design, develop, and deploy automation systems for administration and data-handling tasks.
• Maintain databases and data warehouses on-premise and in cloud environments. Implement tool upgrades and patches.
• Migrate legacy databases to the Cloud.
• Execute and translate database architecture roadmaps into operational excellence and specific implementation plans.
• Perform database capacity planning, version upgrades, and migrations.
• Proactively monitor production database systems, analyze findings, formulate recommendations, and collaborate with the database architect to implement them.
• Ensure database standards are followed and implemented.
• Utilize new database features.
• Conduct patch testing and deployment.
• Achieve performance and scalability goals.
• Maintain high availability and disaster recovery objectives.
• Ensure data security and protection.
• Perform functionality, stress, and load testing.
• Review procedures and technical documentation.
• Work to meet project deadlines, accommodate user demands, set priorities, organize information, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Participate in multiple projects concurrently.
• Discuss designs and implementation strategies with technical teams.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

At least 3+ years of experience as an Oracle / SQL / Postgres / MySQL production and development DBA.

Cloud experience (GCP / AWS / Azure, etc.), preferably Google Cloud Platform.

Scripting and tuning skills.

Linux

Experience with DB tools/utilities (e.g., Toad, Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, RMAN, EXPDP, etc.).

Knowledge of compliance and ITIL initiatives (SOX, PCI, etc.).

LANGUAGE:

Fluent in English and Spanish (B2 Level).

WE OFFER:

• Full-time freelance contract.
• Rate: €240 - €270 per day + VAT, depending on experience.
• Long-term project.
• Location: Madrid – Hybrid (2 to 4 days in person per week).
