Six Senses Ibiza is seeking an Activity Guest Experience Maker (GEM) to enhance guest interactions and promote wellness philosophy. This role involves conducting activities and excursions, providing exceptional service, and ensuring knowledge of resort facilities. Candidates should possess a hospitality background with strong communication skills in English and Spanish, ready to exceed expectations in a luxury environment.

Formación

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar operational role in luxury hotels.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of snorkelling, hiking, and e-biking.

As Activity Guest Experience Maker (GEM), I fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses Ibiza to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them, plus our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.

I will fully embrace, implement and safeguard the overall Wellness philosophy, concepts and programs such as Sleep with Six Senses, Eat With Six Senses and Grow With Six Senses. All aspects of these wellness and initiatives will be adopted and implemented throughout the operation and its strategic planning and development.

Operational Ownership

As Activity GEM, I have full knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort including all guest activities and excursions.

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role :

  • Conduct excursions and activities inside and outside of the resort in a safe and efficient manner that provides a high standard of service to the guest.
  • Provide accurate information about available activities at the resort, gym usage, equipment usage rules and regulations.
  • Give exceptional service to go beyond the expectations of all guests.
  • Present and introduce the activities compendium and or activity schedule to guests, suggesting suitable activities that provide for a personalized experience and answering questions regarding activities.
  • Effectively communicate with guests - verbally and through body language - to respond to any additional requests and to determine when an activity has been completed.
  • Check and clean all equipment used during any activity or recreational event.
  • Report any damage or excessive wear for proper replacement of recreation equipment to Experiences Manager
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that experience operations run smoothly and that bookings are taken correctly, adhered to, and billed correctly.
  • Handle, follow ups and reports on guests’ comments and feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of all emergency evacuation drills according to resort policies.
  • Report any health or safety hazards to the Experiences Manager.
  • Upsell all resort, spa, LIFE and restaurant facilities.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adheres to LQA standards and guest comments.
  • Performs any additional tasks given to me by supervisor / management.

Skills and Experience

To execute the position of Activity GEM, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum hospitality diploma / degree from a recognized hospitality school and more than one year’s experience in a similar hotel operational role.

Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have good knowledge on snorkelling, hiking and e-biking.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
