Sibelco Group in Bilbao is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Country Servicing Business Services Team. You will record and consolidate accounting data, ensure accuracy and compliance, and support IFRS reporting for statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating external audits, preparing VAT and other tax returns, and providing information to auditors. Fluency in English and local language is required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalent by experience.
• Prior experience in accounting.
• English proficiency (verbal & written).
• Local language of the country of base & main operations - proficient verbal & written.

Aufgaben

• Verify accounting records to assess accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
• Direct and coordinate the preparation of financial reporting according to IFRS, Sibelco Group reporting and statutory requirements; summarize financial status by collecting information; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Provide information to auditors.
• Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process.
• Prepare VAT and other tax reporting.
• Manage tax inspections.
