X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned global renewable energy leader, seeks a senior Accounting, Administration & Audit Manager based in Madrid. You will oversee Spain's accounting, close cycles, and statutory reporting, ensuring IFRS and Spanish GAAP compliance and strong business partnering in a fast-growing renewables environment.

You will manage a four-person team, drive process optimization, and collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Development teams on complex transactions including project

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in a leadership role within multinational environments.
• Strong IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC) knowledge with preference for renewables.
• Advanced SAP user with S/4HANA experience a plus.

Reporting to: Accounting, Administration & Audit Manager

Based in: Madrid

The selected professional will lead all accounting and administration activities across X-ELIO’s Spanish entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong business partnering in a fast-growing renewable energy environment.

What will you do?

• Lead accounting and administrative operations for Spain, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.


• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.


• Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS, Spanish GAAP (PGC), and internal policies.


• Coordinate external audits, tax processes, and relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.


• Lead, develop, and manage a team of four accounting professionals providing mentoring, training, and establish performance goals to drive the team’s success.


• Drive process optimization, automation, and digitalization initiatives, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and AI-based tools.


• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Development, and Construction teams on complex transactions, project accounting, M&A, and financing activities.

What do we need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.


• +5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within multinational environments.


• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC); experience in renewable energy or project-based industries is a plus.


• Advanced SAP user (S/4HANA is a plus) and high proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.


• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.


• Fluent English language skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
