Flanks is seeking an Accounting Intern to own day-to-day bookkeeping and admin operations under the Head of Finance in Barcelona. You will structure and maintain financial accounts, manage onboarding admin for new clients, and lay the groundwork for a growing finance function in a fast-moving fintech.

You will work hands-on in Holded or Odoo, supporting monthly reporting and payments, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and process improvements in a bilingual environment.

Formación

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, eager-to-learn attitude and ability to build structure.
• Fluency in English and Spanish for bilingual collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Process provider payments accurately and on time.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting for clients and investors.
• Partner with senior Finance team members to maintain processes.
• Identify and propose improvements to bookkeeping processes.

About The Role

As an Accounting Intern, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative operations that keep our Finance team running, working closely with our Head of Finance. You'll structure and maintain our financial accounts, manage the admin flow for onboarding new clients, and help lay the groundwork for a still-new function inside the company. It's a hands-on way to learn how finance operates inside a fast-growing fintech, with real ownership from day one.

Here's What You Can Expect To Work On

• Keep our financial accounts accurate and up to date in Holded (or Odoo) on a daily basis.
• Own the admin dealflow for onboarding new clients, making sure everything is set up correctly.
• Process provider payments accurately and on time.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting for clients and investors.
• Partner with senior Finance team members to keep our financial processes running smoothly.
• Spot and propose improvements to how we handle bookkeeping.

What we'd love to see

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude — you’re comfortable building structure where none exists yet.
• Nice to have: previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar admin role, though it’s not a requirement.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent English and fluent/native Spanish to collaborate effectively in our bilingual environment.
