Job summary

WTW in Spain is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to support day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensure local and US GAAP compliance. The role includes modern data analysis, reporting, automation and AI tools to enhance efficiency across the Finance function.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and proficiency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, finance or financial analysis experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
• Proficient in MS-Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery and Database (mandatory).
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is desirable.
• Proficiency in accounting software – Oracle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and responding to requests.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to support business initiatives and reporting requirements.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for management.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated reports using Excel and Power Query.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and financial KPI reporting.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Explore and use Artificial Intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and other approved solutions, to improve productivity, reporting quality and data analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement and finance automation initiatives.
• Work with large volumes of financial data ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to join our Finance team in Spain.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting activities of WTW entities in Spain, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with local and US GAAP requirements. In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, the role offers the opportunity to work with modern data analysis, reporting, automation and Artificial Intelligence tools that help improve efficiency and support decision‑making across the Finance function.
