Descripción del empleo

About The Role

As an Accounting Data Analyst at fundcraft, you will be part of the Data - Product Development team, working closely with internal teams to ensure the integrity, standardisation, and reliability of accounting data on our platform.

This is a supporting role, designed to clean, remediate, and process accounting data - while enabling scalable improvements to our fund accounting data base. You will collaborate daily with the Fund Accounting, Onboarding, and Client Success (CSM) teams, responding to work requests across data migration, and platform support.

Your operational guidance and working methods will be defined by the Head of Data, while onboarding to our accounting catalogue and booking logic will be delivered by experts in the Fund Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Data Cleaning & Remediation

  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies in fund accounting data within our core accounting engine (Odoo). Remediate legacy accounting entries that don't conform to fundcraft's standards — ideally through automated processes
  • Clean metadata and help enforce a consistent accounting data model across clients and projects
  • Ensure each remediation leads to scalable operational standards and avoids reoccurrence

Platform QA & Testing Support

  • Participate in testing of new platform features related to accounting and reporting
  • Define and execute test cases based on product specifications
  • Validate output data for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business expectations
  • Support the Data and Product Development teams during QA cycles and feature rollouts.

Accounting Data Migrations

  • Own the data processing and remediation for fund and non-fund entities being onboarded to the platform
  • Understand and map general ledgers (GLs) received from legacy service providers
  • Prepare structured upload files using internal templates and validation steps
  • Perform final trial balance and consistency checks before file uploads
  • Execute post-migration checks using automated QA tools
  • Collaborate with senior team members (Angel and Matej) to ensure high-quality delivery throughout the migration workflow

Requirements

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles; experience in fund accounting is a strong advantage
  • Proficient in Excel (formulas, validation, template use); scripting (Python, SQL) is a plus
  • Comfortable working with general ledgers and financial data structures
  • Experience with ERP/accounting engines such as Odoo is beneficial
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Working Style & Collaboration

  • Methodical, structured, and detail-oriented approach to data quality and process execution
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills — you'll work with multiple internal teams daily
  • Able to juggle operational work requests while maintaining consistent data standards
  • Eager to build scalable, automated solutions rather than solving the same problem twice

Benefits

  • Join a culture that celebrates creativity and welcomes innovative, disruptive ideas, empowering you to make a real impact
  • Immerse yourself in a fast-paced, diverse workplace where you'll have the chance to collaborate and learn from specialists across various fields, fostering personal and professional growth
  • Embrace automation and seamless tech integration in your workflows, while our platform boosts operations through tech leverage, ensuring you stay ahead of the curve and updated with new technologies
  • Work in a comfortable, ergonomic environment within our spacious, modern offices where you can enjoy daily fresh fruit and coffee!
  • Monthly afterworks organised by the company to unwind and strengthen team connections
