This role involves managing the general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.

For our Central Accounting & Reporting department, we are looking for an Accountant to join the team during around 9 months to cover a maternity leave.

What You Will Do :

• Responsible for the general ledger accounting of one or more companies within the German Essity corporate structure.
• Contact person for all accounting matters, especially for the general ledger within a global matrix organization.
• Account assignment, control and posting of business transactions and preparation of monthly financial statements according to IFRS and HGB (annual financial statements).
• Contact person for external audits (audits and tax audits) as well as participation in internal audits.
• Ongoing account maintenance and monthly account reconciliation as well as support in complying with legal requirements and internal guidelines.
• Additional special tasks such as ad hoc analyses for senior management or participation in international projects.

Who You Are :

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or comparable know-how through several years of experience in accounting.
• Good knowledge of HGB accounting regulations and basic knowledge of international accounting (IFRS).
• Structured, reliable and committed way of working as well as a high degree of independence, organizational talent and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Good user knowledge of MS Office programs and SAP.
• Advanced written and spoken English skills.
