For our Central Accounting & Reporting department, we are looking for an Accountant to join the team during around 9 months to cover a maternity leave.

What You Will Do :

• Responsible for the general ledger accounting of one or more companies within the German Essity corporate structure.
• Serve as the contact person for all accounting matters, especially for the general ledger within a global matrix organization.
• Handle account assignment, control, and posting of business transactions, and prepare monthly financial statements according to IFRS and HGB (annual financial statements).
• Act as the contact person for external audits (audits and tax audits) and participate in internal audits.
• Maintain ongoing account records, perform monthly account reconciliations, and support compliance with legal requirements and internal guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks such as ad hoc analyses for senior management or participation in international projects.

Who You Are :

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience through several years in accounting.
• Good knowledge of HGB accounting regulations and basic understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Structured, reliable, and committed work ethic with a high degree of independence, organizational skills, and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Proficient in MS Office programs and SAP.
• Advanced written and spoken English skills.
