Your mission as an Accountant Spain - Fixed-term contract (6 months)

As an Accountant Spain with SAGE you will have a strong impact on growing Appinio’s business further, making sure that our accounting and reporting systems are scalable and lay the foundation for company decision-making.
You will focus on developing and maintaining client invoicing and work closely with our Director of Finance and Country Manager Spain.

This is a fixed-term contract position expected to last 6 months.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with invoicing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Managing client credit balances to align with company financial records
• Tracking and managing payment schedules to ensure timely receipt of payments from clients
• Accounting and Reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial reports and ledgers for Appinio SLU
  • Acting as a liaison between clients' needs, actions and, internal reporting procedures
  • Managing general follow-up with client requests that require any administrative tasks
  • Preparing VAT (303/349/390), Withholding Tax (111/216/190/296) and other mandatory reports (232, INE Surveys, Batuz, etc)
  • Closing of accounts and preparation of financial statements
• Administrative Support
  • Organising and maintaining documents, records, reports and certificates. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all information is up-to-date (HR, Sales, Legal…)
  • Providing general administrative support to maintain office efficiency

You will thrive in this role if

• You have experience in administrative support and financial coordination
• You are proficient in software management and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• You have experience in accurate financial record-keeping
• You have strong organizational and multitasking skills
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• You are proficient in English and Spanish
• A Bachelor's degree in Business is a plus
• Knowledge of Basque Country Taxation is a plus
• Knowledge of Colombian Taxation is a plus
