Formación

• 2-3 years of accounting experience in retail or e-commerce.
• Proficiency in SAP, ALTAI, MS Excel.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

As an Accountant at METRO Markets Palma, you will be part of a dynamic, international team, with our headquarters located in Düsseldorf, Germany. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment where you can help shape and build our accounting processes.

Your responsibilities will include :

• General accounting activities, including bookkeeping for multiple legal entities (both national and international).
• Month-end and quarter-end closings in accordance with IFRS and Spanish GAAP.
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Monthly VAT submission and reconciliation.
• Performing accounting-related analyses and reconciliations.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Liaising with external accounting partners to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Managing accounting for a small warehouse operation in Italy, including overseeing daily financial tasks such as payment runs, employee expense payments, and coordination with the external accounting firm for timely monthly closings. Only IFRS-based accounting is required, and Italian language skills are not necessary.

You've got

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within retail or e-commerce sectors.
• Proficiency in SAP, ALTAI, MS Excel, or other relevant accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
