We are looking for

A driven and enthusiastic Senior Accountant (m / w / d) who desires to contribute to the growth and success of our Accounting and Administration Team.

Your role in BizAway

1. Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner;
2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate accounting records;
3. Prepare and process weekly / monthly payment runs;
4. Ensure timely and accurate recording of payments in the accounting system;
5. Prepare daily bank reconciliations;
6. Manage relations with vendors, local banks, and advisors;
7. Prepare the month-end closing and support the statutory financial statement preparation, ensuring respect for deadlines and making appropriate corrections and adjustments as required;
8. Manage tax deadlines and ensure tax compliance in collaboration with external tax advisors;
9. Assist / coordinate external audits and internal information requests as well as help comply with local regulatory and tax regulations;
10. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance;
11. Take a leading role in structuring and improving our accounting policies and internal controls to the standards aimed by the group;
12. Prepare and monitor the cash position report on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

1. 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a similar role supported by relevant education / qualification;
2. Good knowledge of Spanish and international accounting principles;
3. Proficient in double entry / reconciliations and experienced in tax management and accounting;
4. Very good English and strong communication skills; Italian is a plus;
5. Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for projects and tasks;
6. Excellent user of Excel and experienced in using ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite is a plus).
