Formación

  • 4+ años de experiencia en contabilidad para una empresa en España.
  • Experiencia en gestión de nómina y cálculo de impuestos para empleados en España.
  • Conocimiento sólido de las Normas de Contabilidad de España.

Responsabilidades

  • Gestionar las operaciones contables diarias de la entidad en España.
  • Asegurar el cumplimiento de las normativas fiscales y contables locales.
  • Actuar como punto de contacto principal para cuestiones fiscales y contables.

We are expanding our global team and looking for an Accountant to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the Spain entity, including posting transactions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and coordination of annual audits.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with the Austrian Law on Accounting and Spain GAAP.

Act as the sole accountant for the Spain entity, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax-related matters. Communicate directly with local accounting and tax advisors.

Oversee the entire payroll process for Spain, including salary calculation, income tax and social contributions, and support for employees with payroll-related queries.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements in line with Spain GAAP, and ensure timely submission of the Annual Financial Statements to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

Prepare and submit all required tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, and social contributions .

Ensure compliance with local tax and financial reporting obligations, and maintain accurate documentation in case of audits or inspections by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) or other regulatory authorities.

Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies (e.g. SRC, National Statistical Service of Spain, Ministry of Finance) to ensure full compliance with Spain laws and regulations.

Monitor changes in Spain tax, labor, and accounting legislation, and implement updates as necessary to maintain compliance.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping for a company operating in Spain.

Proven experience in handling payroll and employee tax calculations in Spain.

Strong knowledge of Spain GAAP, local tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.

Experience preparing and submitting reports to Spain regulatory bodies, including VAT, profit tax, PIT, and social fund declarations.

Fluent in Spainish and English, both written and spoken.

Highly autonomous and transparent in work approach.

Proactive and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.

Self-starter with a strong motivation to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
