Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Accounting / Bookkeeping for companies based in Spain.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and tax laws.
• Self-starter attitude with a strong motivation to deliver.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including posting transactions and month-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit all tax filings including VAT and corporate income tax.

We are expanding our global team and looking for a Accountant to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including posting transactions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and annual audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with Spanish GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Act as the sole accountant for the Spanish entity, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax-related matters. Communicate directly with local accounting and tax advisors.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing annual financial statements and other required reports.
• Prepare and submit all tax filings, including VAT (IVA), corporate income tax (Impuesto sobre Sociedades), payroll taxes, and other relevant filings.
• Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with Spanish tax laws and accounting standards.
• Stay updated on changes in Spanish tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Accounting / Bookkeeping for a company / companies based in Spain.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC), tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Highly autonomous and transparent in work approach.
• Proactive and action-oriented, with a ‘default to action’ mentality.
• Self-starter with a strong motivation to deliver.
