Formación

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join the Finance Department at Madrid Head Office, mainly focused on Portugal and Israel.

The successful candidate will take part in the Finance Department within the Accounting team and will collaborate with all stakeholders within the company (Stores, Head Office, and Headquarters in Paris) in a dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your mission will be to handle accounting for Portugal and Israel entities ensuring accuracy and compliance while meeting deadlines and accounting processes. You will also actively contribute to the enhancement of processes of ERP features.

  1. Invoices booking and payment. Vendor reconciliation and clearing.
  2. Daily Sales / AR reconciliation.
  3. Record and review bank statements, preparing the bank reconciliation monthly.
  4. Monitor cashflow needs for the entities in charge.
  5. Ensure good quality of accounting information according to local compliance and Group policies (IFRS).
  6. Produce monthly / yearly group reports.
  7. Active participation during the month-end and year-end close.
  8. Ensure local compliance, taxes declaration (VAT, WHT, CIT, local taxes, and others), payments and coordinate eventual inspections or requirements from Tax authorities.
  9. Main interlocutor with external partners in the country regarding local taxes and new local regulations.
  10. Active participation in new projects for the countries mentioned above, when Finance is involved, for example: VAT changes, new tax report in the country, etc., in collaboration with external partners and IT team.
  11. Play a pivotal role in financial audits and facilitate interactions with external auditors.
  12. Participation in store reviews, meaning some trips to organize during the year.
  13. Any administrative tasks related to the accounting department or support to other countries in the region if needed.

Profile

Desirable Qualifications

Degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent.

3 years of experience in accounting in a multinational Company / Group.

Expert skill set of overall accounting processes with hands-on experience of month-end closing process.

Working experience in ERP (SAP) environment is mandatory.

Fluency in English / Spanish.

Good computer skills, mainly Excel.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
