For our office in Madrid, Aquila Capital is seeking an Accountant (f / m / d).

Your Responsibilities

1. General accounting and bookkeeping.
2. Management of monthly journal entries, provisions, and depreciations.
3. Reconciliation of accounts: banks, AP / AR, intercompany figures, etc.
4. Reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements, and ensuring the timely submission of monthly financial reports.
5. Management of supporting documentation for accounting entries and supporting files.
6. Preparation of annual financial statements and official books.
7. Supporting the audit process of audited entities.
8. Preparation of tax compliance forms (VAT declarations, CIT / Mod 22, etc.).
9. Coordination with external providers (e.g., auditors, lawyers, banks).
10. Management of analytical accounting, working with coding trees and budgeting items.
11. Management of the invoices payable process (reception of invoices, incorporation into workflow IT tools, signature by department heads).

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or similar.
• 3-4 years of professional experience in auditing, gained at an accounting firm (Big Four), corporate finance consultancy, or investment fund. Knowledge of taxation and IFRS is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of numbers.
• Responsible, organized, able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
• Precise, reliable, autonomous, flexible, and proactive in implementation.
• Eager to join a growing and ambitious long-term project.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Languages: fluent in English and Spanish; German is an asset.
