Formación

• 5 years of experience in legal and regulatory matters related to insurance.
• Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent required.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our headquarters office based in Barcelona. Your main responsibilities will involve:

Helping identifying, managing and mitigating legal, regulatory and corporate governance risks, to enable business to achieve the strategic and commercial goals of the company in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and to protect and preserve Zurich’s tangible and intangible assets.

Reporting to Senior Counsel managing the area of Partners and Distribution within Legal Spain, your key tasks & accountabilities will be:

Partners:

Participating in rendering legal advice to the business on management of current partnerships with banks, retailers, telecom operators and other categories of partners acting as insurance distributors.

Participating in negotiations for the setting-up of potential future partnerships advising business from the early phase of responding to the RFIs / RFPs to the drafting of Term Sheets and agreements ranging from SPAs / SHAs for the establishment of Joint Venture companies to pure insurance distribution agreements.

Distribution:

Legal support to the Distribution Area in all legal matters related to Zurich’s agents and broker network.

Digital Contracting Processes:

Reviewing web-based product contracting processes and web’s Terms and Conditions.

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in law (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Insurance Legal and Regulatory Environment and 5 years of experience in related field.
• Problem Solving under a pragmatic approach.
• Fluent in English (minimum level: B-2 qualification or equivalent).
• Eager to learn by working in a challenging environment.
• Microsoft Office literacy.

Preferred:

• C-1 (or higher) English qualification.
• IA literacy.

Preferred work location is Barcelona. Madrid can be considered.
