Sateliot in Barcelona is seeking a junior telecom engineer to gain hands-on experience with MNO integrations, lab and field testing, and end-to-end service validation under senior guidance.

You will support PoCs with Mobile Network Operators in lab and on-site, assist IPX/NTN integration, analyze test results, and collaborate cross-functionally while working in a hybrid Barcelona office.

Formación

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or final-year student.
• Familiarity with IPX networks, 5G roaming and interconnection models.
• Basic Linux and IP networking knowledge (IPv4/IPv6, DNS, VPN).
• Exposure to telecom testbeds and protocol analyzers such as Wireshark is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for PoCs and integration projects.

Responsabilidades

About the team & this role

The Network Integration & Validation team leads Proofs of Concept (PoCs) with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) worldwide, validating how Sateliot's NTN and IPX services integrate into live 5G networks. This is a junior role, ideal for an early-career telecom engineer who wants hands‑on exposure to real MNO integrations, lab and field testing, and end‑to‑end service validation — with the support of senior engineers on the team.

What you'll do

• Support and help manage Proofs of Concept (PoCs) with Mobile Network Operators, both in the lab and, when required, on‑site in the MNO's country.
• Provide technical support during MNO integration processes, including IPX and NTN network elements.
• Execute test passes and service validations, ensuring alignment with integration requirements.
• Analyze and report test results, identify anomalies, and help propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and operations teams to resolve technical blockers during integration.
• Contribute to documentation of procedures, integration steps, and lessons learned from each MNO onboarding.
• Act as a technical point of contact with MNO technical teams during integration and validation activities, under the guidance of senior team members.

What you bring

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (or final‑year student / recent graduate).
• Familiarity with IPX networks, 5G networks, roaming setup, and interconnection models (through coursework, internships, or early professional experience).
• Basic knowledge of IP networking protocols (IPv4/IPv6, DNS, routing, VPN).
• Exposure to testbeds and telecom monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, protocol analyzers).
• Basic Linux user skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills — you'll work with international MNOs and technical partners.
• Analytical and troubleshooting mindset applied to telecom environments.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and juggle parallel technical activities.
• Availability to travel when needed for PoCs and integration projects abroad.
• Good level of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

Preferred experience:

• Understanding of mobile and satellite communication protocols, including NB-IoT, LTE-M, 3GPP NTN, and LEO technologies.

• English proficiency: professional working proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Location: based in Barcelona; hybrid work model.
• Operational availability: occasional travel abroad for PoCs and MNO integration activities.
