Sateliot, a Barcelona-based satellite company, seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the plan across engineering areas, aligning timings with engineers and managing dependencies and risks. You’ll report to the Director of Technology & Service Engineering and coordinate with Operations, Product, and external suppliers.

You will drive a lightweight reporting cadence, help maintain our network roadmap milestones, and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-scaling environment.

About The Team & This Role

Sateliot brings standard cellular connectivity to places terrestrial networks will never reach — non-terrestrial networks, one of the most active areas in telecoms right now. We run a commercial service and we develop key parts of our network technology in-house, so the engineering portfolio spans live operations, radio access, core network and the device ecosystem at the same time. As Senior Technical Program Manager you will own the plan behind all of it: realistic timings agreed with the people doing the work, commitments between teams that are actually tracked, and deviations that surface early enough to do something about them. You will report to the Director of Technology & Service Engineering. We are looking for someone who coordinates by earning credibility with engineers, not by chasing a spreadsheet.

What you'll do

• Own the departmental plan across our engineering areas: build timings with the engineers who own the work, and keep the plan honest as reality moves.
• Track the commitments areas make to each other and the dates we commit to outside the department — our network roadmap milestones are the only external calendar we sign up to.
• Own the dependency and risk picture of the portfolio — between areas and with our external suppliers — and surface deviations early, escalating them with a recommendation rather than a status colour.
• Run departmental reporting on top of the substrate that already exists — meeting reports, logbook, project register — instead of building a parallel layer of manual data collection.
• Be the planning counterpart to Operations, Product, User Segment and Payload, and to the external suppliers our roadmap depends on.

What you bring

• Real experience planning and tracking a multi-project technical portfolio in an engineering organisation — telecom, space, embedded systems or similar — including active management of dependencies and risk.
• An engineering degree, or equivalent professional experience in a technical environment, and enough technical literacy to challenge an estimate and follow a dependency between a radio feature and a core network release. You do not need to be practising as an engineer; you do need to not be a spectator.
• Evidence of driving commitments across teams without formal authority over them.
• The habit of building light-weight reporting from sources that already exist, and the discipline to keep it light.

Bonus if you have

• Background in mobile networks, 3GPP-based systems or satellite programmes.
• Comfort using AI-assisted tooling to compile and summarise reporting.
• Experience in a company scaling fast, where the process has to be built while it is used.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management certification.

Additional requirements

• Hybrid work with regular on-site presence at our Barcelona HQ: this role coordinates people and depends on being among them.
• Working proficiency in English: the department is international and English is the language of technical discussion. Spanish is useful day to day.
