FUNCTIONS AND TASKS :

A Lead Statistician builds and leads teams of statisticians and representatives from other functions, ensuring the use of appropriate and efficient statistical analysis methods during development, submission, and/or lifecycle management of Bayer products according to applicable standards, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. The Lead Statistician also represents projects to line management and governance boards.

Major tasks and responsibilities :

• Takes the statistical lead for a project in the represented Statistics Sub-Cluster, e.g., as a Project Statistician.
• Leads virtual teams of statisticians and/or representatives from other functions.
• Contributes to the development and evolution of project standards.
• Provides statistical and methodological consultation within or across multidisciplinary teams.
• Responds to inquiries from health authorities and other partners.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory and methodological issues, ensuring their implementation.
• Influences decision-making during drug development and lifecycle management using appropriate statistical methodologies.
• Develops and implements innovative statistical methodologies in cooperation with academic experts, if appropriate.

The Lead Statistician contributes to drug research, development, approval, and lifecycle management of drugs.

Hours and Schedule :

40h/week, Schedule: 9h to 18h, Hybrid work model

Remuneration :

Within the Offices and Offices Agreement, according to interview.

Requisites :

Qualifications : PhD or MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics; minimum four years of experience as a statistician in Pharma, Biotech, or similar sector; thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, clinical drug development process, lifecycle management, and regulations; experience leading teams; ability to embody VACC behaviors (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach); experience in relevant fields; excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; proficiency in SAS and/or R; fluency in English.
