Job summary

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) invites applications for a Master-level position to support clinical studies involving psychoactive substances in healthy volunteers at Can Ruti Campus, Badalona, Barcelona area.

The successful candidate will assist the PI, manage data, perform assessments, and contribute to scientific communications within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Pharmacology with knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and set-up of studies, including CRF development.
• Support PI during study sessions, coordinating logistics and procedures.
• Conduct and record clinical and pharmacological assessments, including questionnaires, vital signs and adverse events.
• Manage and clean databases with quality control of data.
• Analyze and interpret pharmacological, pharmacokinetic and clinical results.
• Contribute to preparation of scientific communications related to the project.

Offer Description

The successful candidate will support the implementation and development of clinical studies involving psychoactive substances in healthy volunteers within an FIS-funded research project. Responsibilities will include assisting the Principal Investigator during study sessions, conducting and recording clinical and pharmacological assessments, managing study data and contributing to the analysis of results and preparation of scientific communications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participation in the preparation and set-up of the studies within the FIS-funded project, including the development of case report forms (CRFs).
• Support for the Principal Investigator during study sessions, contributing to logistical coordination and compliance with established procedures.
• Conducting and recording clinical and pharmacological assessments, including the administration of subjective effects questionnaires, collection of vital signs and documentation of adverse events during study sessions.
• Management and cleaning of databases, including quality control of the information collected.
• Participation in the analysis and interpretation of pharmacological, pharmacokinetic and clinical results.
• Contribution to the preparation of scientific communications related to the project.

Additional Information

• Permanent contract under Science Law 14/2011, part-time (23 hours per week).
• Expected start date: October/November.
• Gross annual salary: €17,404.44.
• The gross annual remuneration associated with the position covered by this call will be determined according to the candidate’s experience and skills and will be paid in 12 instalments.
• 23 working days of annual leave and 5 personal leave days.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital , and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
