Offer Description

CEMFI invites applications for a 1-year full-time Research Assistant position (Pre-doc). The role involves developing software solutions for energy and climate economics projects at EnergyEcoLab, funded by the European Research Council and other grants. Responsibilities include designing software for energy market simulation, integrating CI/CD pipelines, conducting software testing, and supporting research activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Software Engineering
• Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL; experience with energy markets and financial metrics is valued
• Strong quantitative skills; proficient in R, SQL, Python, Pandas, Numpy
• Web design knowledge is an advantage
• Previous work experience required
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask

Job Conditions

• Full-time, 1-year position from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, with potential extension
