Offer Description

A full-time permanent contract (Science Law) is being offered. We seek a candidate with research experience in microbiology, specifically in molecular biology and high-throughput sequencing of viruses and bacteria. The successful candidate will join the Pathogen Diagnostics and Genomic Epidemiology Group at IGTP, located in the Sequencing Area of the Microbiology Department at Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, under Dr. Elisa Martró's supervision.

• Required education: Bachelor's and Master's degree in Life Sciences
• Languages: Medium-high level of English for international project participation
• Specific knowledge: Training in clinical microbiology during studies or work experience in a clinical microbiology lab
• Personal skills: Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, both within Can Ruti Campus and externally
• Experience: Molecular biology techniques, high-throughput sequencing (Illumina and Nanopore), research project experience
• Additional knowledge (valuable): Biostatistics, programming languages (R, Python, etc.)
