JOB DESCRIPTION: The Lung Immunity Translational Research group seeks a research technician to conduct laboratory experiments and data collection, participate in specialized research experiments, process and analyze tissues and data, prepare reports, and provide technical expertise to team members. The person will participate in research meetings, contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct experiments related to the ISCIII project on lipid endocannabinoid signaling in pulmonary fibrosis; design and perform in vitro experiments with pulmonary cell lines and pharmacological drugs; perform in vivo mouse experiments using pulmonary fibrosis models in genetic knockout mice; analyze samples molecularly and histologically; process human samples for endocannabinoid measurement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's in biomedical sciences; proficiency in molecular biology techniques (DNA, RNA, ELISA, Western Blot), biochemical analysis, advanced cell culture, and cell functional assays; experience with experimental animal handling (genotyping, sample processing); basic knowledge of biostatistics and data analysis; familiarity with bioinformatics tools like R Studio; organized, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and in a team; good scientific communication skills.
