Offer Description

Planning, implementing and monitoring projects on document collections at libraries and archives, either at the UIB or other institutions that have signed a collaboration agreement with the UIB.

A Diploma in Library and Information Science or a Degree in Information Science.

Specific Requirements

Particular consideration will be given to candidates with the following knowledge and skills:

• Training, skills and experience in cultural restoration techniques
• Training, skills and experience in high resolution document scanning, using copybook-type overhead scanners
• Training and skills in digitising cultural heritage
• Training and skills in photography conservation
• Skills and experience using AtoM software to describe, classify and circulate document collections.

Language requirements: C1 Catalan

Prior experience: Experience digitising documents and in heritage conservation. Skills and experience implementing international archival description standards ISAD-G, ISAAR and ISDHIA. Experience using AtoM software.

Eligibility criteria include:

• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points)
• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points)

• Experience in the field (max. 15 points): > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points)
• Other merits (max. +5 points), e.g., recommendation letters

Candidates with non-EU degrees must present a certificate of equivalence or proof of application for this equivalence.

Selection committee includes the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for research, the supervisor, the Research Area Assessment Committee, and other experts as needed.
