A leading academic institution in Spain is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to enhance human resources for research and support career development. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Law or Labour Relations, has proven knowledge of employment legislation, and possesses effective collaboration skills. Proficiency in Catalan and English is required. This position offers a temporary contract with a planned end date of October 14, 2026.

Advice and support to extend and strengthen human resources for research, with a view to fostering research career development at all stages.

A Degree in Law, Labour Relations or similar.

Specific Requirements

Knowledge and skills:
Specific training in human resources
Proven knowledge of employment legislation
Office suite skills.
A personal interview will be held to assess candidates’ suitability to join the research area, looking at collaborative and
teamwork skills, decision-making, proactiveness and the capacity to take on different responsibilities.

Language requeriments

B2 Catalan required. Preference will be given to candidates with a higher Catalan level and English language skills.

Prior experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in human resources management and at public administrations.

Eligibility criteria

• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).
• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).
• Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).
• Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).
• Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters.
Eligibility threshold: 60 points.

Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non-EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non-EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring. The equivalence can be requested from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain (see https://www.universidades.gob.es/equivalencia-de-titulo-extranjero-de-educacion-superior-a-nivel-academico-de-grado-o-master-universitario-oficial-segun-rd-889-2022-de-18-de-octubre/ ).

In accordance with article 8 of the REGULATORY AGREEMENT 145140 of 15th June 2022 that approves the regulation governing the recruitment of research staff under chapter 6 allocation of the university budget, as well as technical or operational research staff.

Selection comitee

i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for research (or delegated representative) as chair.
ii. The supervisor (or delegated representative).
iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).
iv. One or more expert members in the topic pertaining to the recruitment and chosen by the chair of the committee, where applicable.
v. The head of FORHU (or delegated representative), as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
