The Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) seeks a Laboratory Technician for the Tumor Biomarkers Team.

We are looking for an organized, motivated, and team-oriented individual to join our scientific team supporting the development of new small-molecule drugs for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) therapy. The project involves in silico, in vitro, and in vivo studies, aiming to advance promising candidates toward clinical application.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Perform and optimize cell-based concentration response assays in breast cancer cell lines.
  2. Collaborate with computational scientists and validate candidate compounds identified through high-throughput virtual screenings.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree.
  • At least two years of experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques in a research laboratory.
  • Experience in cell culture, Western Blot, and immunofluorescence microscopy.
  • Experience in small molecule drug screening and assay development is preferred.
  • Animal experimentation experience is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in English.
