Job summary

Universidade de Vigo invites applications for a part-time Researcher in Analytical and Food Chemistry to work on green extraction technologies and zero-waste approaches supplying ingredients across sectors.

You will execute green extraction processes (HAE, UAE, MAE, PLE), optimize parameters, run process simulations, support upscaling, and develop valorization routes for by-products, while engaging in European R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Item 01: Academic training, professional experience companies and competence on English language (al menos B2)
• Item 02: Participation in European R&D projects for the genetic management and governance of fisheries
• Item 03: Proficiency in techniques for the manipulation, genotyping, and sequencing of marine DNA
• Item 04: Analysis of population genetic data
• Item 05: Personal interview. The interview will be conducted only with those 3 candidates who, in the sum of the merits, reach a minimum of 50 points

Green extraction technologies and a zero-waste approach will be applied to provide ingredients to the food, feed, cosmetics, textile, and packaging materials sectors.

The following tasks will be carried out:

Execution of green extraction processes (HAE, UAE, MAE, PLE).

Optimization of extraction parameters and statistical treatment.

Process simulation.

Support in the upscaling of extraction processes.

Development of valorization routes for by-products.

Item 01: Academic training, professional experience companies and competence on English language (al menos B2) (punctuation: 30)
