We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer that will play a crucial role in taking the lead in designing and maintaining complex data ecosystems. Your experience will be instrumental in optimizing data processes, ensuring data quality, and driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will work closely with development, quality assurance and deployment teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products, and you can also expect to interact directly with engineering teams of our customers to install, configure and operate the deployed software platforms.

To succeed in this role, the candidate needs to be self-confident, hands-on and eager to learn, outgoing and feel comfortable working closely with Delivery, Product Management and R&D Teams. You will be part of an amazing global human team that works in a very fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Architecting and designing complex data systems and pipelines
2. Leading and mentoring junior data engineers and team members.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data requirements.
4. Implementing advanced data quality checks and ensuring data integrity.
5. Optimizing data processes for efficiency and scalability.
6. Overseeing data security and compliance measures.
7. Evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance data infrastructure.
8. Providing technical expertise and guidance for critical data projects.

Requirements:

1. B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science or related field
2. More than 4 years of experience in Data Engineer roles
3. Proficiency in designing and building complex data pipelines and data processing systems.
4. Leadership and mentorship capabilities to guide junior data engineers and foster skill development.
5. Strong expertise in data modeling and database design for optimal performance.
6. Skill in optimizing data processes and infrastructure for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
7. Knowledge of data governance principles, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
8. Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL.
9. Expertise in implementing robust data security measures and access controls.
10. Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork and defining data requirements.
11. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams (Sales, Product Management, Delivery, R&D Teams, etc.)
12. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
13. Fluency in both English and Spanish
14. Ability to work in hybrid in Madrid.
