Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Control Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong foundation in control systems, dynamic system modeling and control theory.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink gained through industry, research, or academic projects.
• Familiarity with software development practices, version control tools (e.g., Git), and agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance advanced wind turbine control solutions to improve turbine performance, operational robustness, and energy production.
• Design, implement, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development approaches.
• Support technology development from early-stage feasibility studies through implementation, testing, and product integration.
• Perform simulations, software verification, and prototype validation to ensure reliable and high-quality control system performance.
• Analyze engineering data and turbine behavior to identify improvement opportunities and optimize control strategies.
• Collaborate with specialists across Loads & Control, software development, systems engineering, and product development teams globally.
• Contribute to technical reviews, documentation, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives that support Vestas' future control technologies.
