Job summary

VIKING Life-Saving Equipment A/S is seeking a Service Coordinator (m/f/d) to join the team at our Hamburg or Stadland station. You will support quotations, coordinate resources and transport, manage service documentation, and ensure timely invoicing.

You’ll work in a dynamic, international company with a strong emphasis on customers, reliability, and cross‑functional collaboration. The role offers 30 days of annual leave and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and planning skills.
  • Good written and spoken German and English.

Responsibilities

  • Receive enquiries and support on service quotations.
  • Schedule resources, arrange transport, and coordinate with customers and ports.
  • Ensure correct transportation documents and plan service delivery costs.
  • Maintain capacity planning, stock, and floor space; ensure spare parts availability.
  • Support technicians during service jobs and ensure checklists/manuals are available.
  • Close service orders, issue reports and certificates, and ensure timely invoicing.

We are looking for a committed full-time employee to join our team with immediate effect at our station in 21107 Hamburg or 26936 Stadland as

Service Coordinator (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities in supporting the team
  • Receive enquiries and support on service quotations
  • Schedule resources, arrange transport (incl. barges/cranes), and coordinate with customers, ports, and
  • Ensure correct transportation documents
  • Plan and manage service delivery cost-effectively
  • Maintain and update capacity planning calendar, equipment, SOA stock and floor space
  • Ensuring spare parts are ordered and available for technicians prior to service jobs taking place
  • Coordinate and follow up on supply of parts from suppliers/subcontractors
  • Support technicians during service jobs and ensure checklists and manuals are available for technicians
  • Manage complaints, report NCRs and assist with corrective actions
  • Monitoring and closing all relevant work and service orders
  • Issuing reports immediately and certificates related to service executed
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing upon completion of service activities.
  • Address improvement areas and contribute to potential solutions

subcontractors for service requests.

What you’ll need
  • A successfully completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Professional experience in the maritime sector and a technical understanding would be an advantage
  • A strong focus on customers and service
  • Good communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent coordination, planning and follow-up skills
  • A structured and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as a high degree of reliability and flexibility
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office and, ideally, SAP S/4 HANA
