Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S is seeking a Verification & Validation Specialist to join the RAMS & Validation team in Denmark. You will prepare, execute and report verification activities ensuring compliance with contractual and internal requirements across railway design deliveries for west Denmark.

You will verify signalling layouts and hardware configurations, review documentation, and liaise with customers and partners to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• English proficiency: excellent written and verbal.
• Danish or German language skills are an advantage.
• Railway Verification & Validation experience is beneficial.
• Ability to review technical documentation with a critical mind.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate that the F-bane project meets contractual and internal requirements during development, design and delivery.
• Prepare, execute and report V&V activities to the Head of RAMS & Validation.
• Perform validation of signalling layouts, hardware configurations and drawings per instructions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, partners and suppliers to optimize processes.
• Occasional travel within Denmark and Germany for commissioning and meetings.

Job Description – Verification & Validation Specialist

The Verification and Validation Specialist will together with the rest of the Verification and Validation team preparing, execute and ensure proper reporting of the Verification and Validation activities to the Head of RAMS & Validation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

To verify and validate that the F-bane project is fulfilling the contractual and internal requirements during the development, design and implementation deliveries to the Customer of the railway design for specific rollout lines in west Denmark.

Participate in performing verification and validation activities according to given instructions and checklist (Validation of signalling layouts, hardware configuration, drawings, templates, etc.).

Participate in verification and validation inspections in different project phases to ensure confidence in the verification activities performed, with focus on test activities performed in Denmark and Germany.

Report and evaluate any non-compliance detected during the verification and validation activities and creation of verification and validation reports.

Liaise with the other internal teams, the customer, our partners and suppliers in order to optimize the processes.

Occasional travel within Denmark (and Germany) may be required for commissioning, testing activities, and stakeholder meetings.

Technical:

• Knowledge of railway terms and infrastructure elements

• Experience with Verification and Validation work preferably from the railway industry will be an advantage
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to railway safety, quality, and compliance throughout project phases.
• Knowledge of Requirement Management, Configuration Management and Defect Management will be an advantage
• Knowledge of System Engineering principles, will be an advantage
• Knowledge of CENELEC standard 50126, 50128 (2011), EN 50716, 50129 will be an advantage

Languages:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Danish or German are considered an advantage for this role
