Job description

Do you want to shape the test systems that enable cutting-edge space electronics while leading a skilled team of engineers and technicians? In this role, you will drive the development, production, and verification of test systems and support the growth of a collaborative team. Come and join us!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry to deliver real-world solutions that matter to the security of people on land, at sea, in the air and in space. Therefore, we are looking for a Test Systems Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Test Systems Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the successful development, production, and verification of test systems that support the delivery of advanced space electronics. The majority of your time will be focused on the technical leadership and design of our test systems, while the remainder of the time will be dedicated to people leadership and team development.

In our team we take pride in developing people and technology. You will become part of a collaborative and informal environment across our locations in Lystrup and Søborg, where around 45–55 engineers, technicians, and physicists work together on the development and testing of space electronics. The team brings together a broad range of experience, from newly graduated professionals to senior specialists, creating excellent opportunities for learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.

Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters even more. If you consider yourself a structured and thorough leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across disciplines, developing people, and communicating clearly with stakeholders, you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the technical architecture, design, and verification of test systems in close collaboration with Lead Solution Architects, while contributing to hardware design and verification activities where relevant
  • Provide technical expertise to projects, supporting the resolution of non-conformances and contributing to future test system proposals, solutions, and cost estimates
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, setting clear priorities and ensuring alignment around shared objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement of test systems and team performance through process optimization, training initiatives, and new tools and technologies
  • Manage team resources, including hiring and allocation in collaboration with Project Managers and the Department Manager, while building strong stakeholder relationships and conducting key people management activities in line with the HR annual wheel.
Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering or a similar relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience working with hardware and software test systems in a development, production, or verification environment
  • People management experience, including coaching, performance development, and team leadership
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across teams and functions
  • A structured, quality-focused, and self-driven approach combined with strong communication skills.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level.

Let’s secure people through advanced technology

We believe that different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger. We are committed to creating a more diverse and balanced workplace that reflects the talent and perspectives around us. By creating an inclusive environment with equal opportunities to contribute, grow, and succeed, we aim to broaden our talent pool and strengthen our teams for the future. We want everyone to feel welcome, valued, and confident in pursuing their ambitions at Terma.

When joining Terma, we promise that you will experience great people, challenging tasks, and the opportunity to make an impact. Our culture is built on trust, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, where learning is embedded in everyday work and supported by colleagues across all career stages.
