Job description

Requisition ID 1320 - Posted - Lystrup - Denmark - Full Time - Associate

Would you like to play a key role in delivering automated test systems that are essential to the success of our Space solutions?

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Project Manager for Space Automated Test Systems (Electronics Ground Support Equipment) to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose - securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team

As our new EGSE Project Manager, you will be responsible for the internal delivery of Automated Test Systems, also called Electronics Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), to Terma’s Space Systems projects. EGSE solutions are developed, manufactured, tested, and used to perform automated verification of space products.

Working closely with project teams, you will support the delivery of products such as Power Conditioning and Distribution Units (PCDUs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Star Trackers to customers across the space industry. The EGSE plays a crucial role in validating product performance and compliance with customer and agency requirements, including ESA standards, before final delivery.

As a key contributor to successful project execution, you will coordinate EGSE activities and ensure test systems are delivered on time.

You will become part of the customer delivery department, consisting of approximately 7 dedicated colleagues. The department oversees the project management of all HW delivery projects in the Space Systems department. We work in a professional setting, but the tone is casual, characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong willingness to help each other succeed.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

  • The responsibility for the internal delivery of the finished EGSE to the various Terma Space Systems projects
  • To, in cooperation with the EGSE system engineer, plan and execute the design, procurement, manufacturing, and EGSE system validation before EGSE delivery into the PCDU, RTU or Star Trackers project
  • Ensuring that delivery of the EGSE happens in due time, enabling the PCDU, RTU or Star Trackers project to conduct its test campaign in time for the final PCDU, RTU or Star Trackers delivery
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and ensuring alignment across ongoing activities
  • Driving and maintaining project roadmaps for ongoing EGSE developments, ensuring timely execution, progress tracking, and delivery.
Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or a similar relevant technical degree
  • Experience with project management in a technical or engineering environment involving complex hardware systems
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to navigate technical discussions without being a subject matter expert
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside the ability to work closely with different stakeholders across a broad interface, including electrical designers, manufacturing personnel, test engineers, systems engineers, and other project managers
  • The ability and desire to manage the flow of the test systems roadmap, alongside ensuring the delivery of several projects of varying scope simultaneously.

As a person, you are structured, proactive, and excellent at maintaining an overview in complex situations. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with many different people. You have a strong sense of responsibility and can maintain an overview of multiple activities, even when working within demanding schedules. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator who builds trust and cooperation across teams while driving projects toward successful delivery.

We arean international company representing world‑class expertise, delivering complex and high‑tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology.
