Job summary

Terma A/S in Denmark seeks an Advanced Test Manager to lead and coordinate testing activities across R&D Defense Test Management. You will ensure quality and reliability of complex software solutions, supervise test planning, execution, automation, and collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and other specialists.

Fluency in English is required; Danish is an advantage. A bachelor’s or master’s in software engineering and ISTQB/ TMAP certification are preferred.

Your role in our team

As our new Advanced Test Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our advanced software solutions within the R&D Defense Test Management department. You will be part of the Test Management team, working closely with experienced test engineers across R&D.

With a strong understanding of systems engineering, verification and validation processes, you will be responsible for securing product quality through strategic test planning, team leadership, test execution, test automation, and close collaboration with stakeholders.

There is an increasing focus on CI/CD and multiple levels of test automation, which forms an important part of the role and is carried out in close cooperation with software developers, system engineers, fellow testers, and other technical specialists.

The Test Management department is located across our offices in Lystrup and Søborg, and we expect you to work onsite as it is required for the role.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Your key responsibilities include:

• Plan, monitor, and control the integration and verification of the system
• Responsible for the Verification Master Plan
• Point of contact for the verification effort
• Plan and drive in all test activities and ensure that the system meets the required standards and specifications
• Support the integration of automated tests with the CI-CD pipeline
• Contribute to a Test Community of Practice: Engage with other test enthusiasts to share knowledge, best practices, and continuously improve testing methodologies and processes
• Continuously Improving Ways of Working: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Software Engineering or a similar field of study
• You are certified in software testing principles (ISTQB, TMAP, or similar)
• You have solid experience with planning and leading test activities in software development
• You have experience with testing complex systems
• You have knowledge of software development and an understanding of the fundamentals of software testing and the concepts of system engineering, verification and validation
• You understand agile development methods (Scrum) and project-oriented processes as well as test automation frameworks and tools
