Job summary

COWI is seeking a Technical Lead to drive high-voltage cable projects from detailed design through procurement, construction and handover. You will work with Energinet and collaborate across disciplines, with a focus on HV installations and environmental considerations.

The role requires an electrical background and proven project delivery experience, with strong Danish and English communication. Flexible work options are available, including partial remote work and travel to project sites.

Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow

As our project portfolio grows, so does the need for Technical Leads to support the delivery of high-voltage cable installations. We are looking for a Technical Lead to join COWI and work as a Consultant on Energinet’s projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Develop detailed designs for cable routes, horizontal directional drilling solutions between two or more substations in collaboration with other disciplines in respect to environmental- landowner issues in the project organisation.
• Perform cable ampacity design and electrical studies with standard software applications
• Develop technical requirements for procurement of supply/installation contracts followed up by tender evaluation and contract negotiations
• Participate in external meetings and manage contact with various stakeholders.
• Contribute to substation projects to ensure that cable installations can be routed to the relevant bays.
• Drive technical project delivery and facilitate construction meetings on site.
• Coordinate factory & site testing, quality assurance documentation and handover.

Your primary workplace for the assignment will be at one of Energinet’s offices in Erritsø or Ballerup. When the tasks allow, you will be able to carry out parts of the work remotely or from other locations. Travel in connection with the projects will also be part of the role.
