Job summary

COWI is seeking a Technical Lead to support Energinet’s high-voltage cable projects, taking the technical lead from detailed design through procurement, construction and handover. You bring an electrical background and experience with HV installations to drive projects forward.

Your primary workplace will be at Energinet offices in Erritsø or Ballerup, with possible remote work when tasks allow and travel as needed.

• Electrical background with hands-on HV installation experience.
• Proven ability to drive projects forward.
• Strong Danish and English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for cable routes, HD drilling solutions, and coordinate environmental and landowner considerations.
• Perform cable ampacity design and electrical studies using standard software.
• Develop technical requirements for procurement, follow up with tender evaluation and contract negotiations.
• Participate in external meetings and manage contact with stakeholders.
• Contribute to substation projects to route cable installations to relevant bays.
• Drive technical project delivery and facilitiate construction meetings on site.
• Coordinate factory and site testing, QA documentation and handover.

As our project portfolio grows, so does the need for Technical Leads to support the delivery of high-voltage cable installations. We are looking for a Technical Lead to join COWI and work as a Consultant on Energinet’s projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Develop detailed designs for cable routes, horizontal directional drilling solutions between two or more substations in collaboration with other disciplines in respect to environmental- landowner issues in the project organisation.
• Perform cable ampacity design and electrical studies with standard software applications
• Develop technical requirements for procurement of supply/installation contracts followed up by tender evaluation and contract negotiations
• Participate in external meetings and manage contact with various stakeholders.
• Contribute to substation projects to ensure that cable installations can be routed to the relevant bays.
• Drive technical project delivery and facilitate construction meetings on site.
• Coordinate factory & site testing, quality assurance documentation and handover.

Your primary workplace for the assignment will be at one of Energinet’s offices in Erritsø or Ballerup. When the tasks allow, you will be able to carry out parts of the work remotely or from other locations. Travel in connection with the projects will also be part of the role.
