Job summary

Saab Danmark A/S in Denmark is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and deliver complex system solutions, from concept to delivery, across disciplines. You will capture and analyze requirements, develop architectures, define interfaces, and support verification, validation, and integration activities while contributing to MBSE adoption.

Qualifications

• Contribute to continuous improvement of SE methods, processes, and tools.
• Support MBSE adoption and Digital Engineering where applicable.
• Contribute to systems safety, test strategy, and planning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, and manage stakeholder and system requirements
• Develop system concepts, architectures, and high‑level designs
• Define system interfaces and ensure effective integration across disciplines
• Evaluate technical solutions and support selection of major system components
• Ensure system designs satisfy functional, performance, safety, and quality requirements
• Support system integration, verification, validation, and acceptance activities
• Participate in technical reviews, design decisions, and engineering risk management
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Systems Engineering methods, processes, and tools
• Support the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering where applicable
• Depending on the project, contribute to systems safety, test strategy, and technical planning activities

Qualifications & Profile

• Experience in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Maritime, Industrial)
• Understanding of how complex systems are developed and willingness to work across organizational and technical boundaries
• Experience with requirements management, system architecture, integration, verification, lifecycle management, or MBSE is considered an advantage
• Think holistically while maintaining technical detail
• Expertise in solving complex engineering problems
• Effective communicator across multidisciplinary teams
• Ownership mindset; works in a structured and proactive manner

Security Clearance

Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service. This entails that candidates, as a minimum, have had residency within NATO/EU for the last 7 years.
