Job summary

Danske Commodities is seeking a Junior Business Controller in Aarhus to support controlling asset portfolios in European energy markets. You will gain hands-on experience with financial controlling, data analysis and process optimisation while gradually taking ownership of activities for a smaller business area.

You will work with P&L and month-end close, handle large datasets, use SQL, VBA and Power BI to analyse data, and help automate processes.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying a relevant education within economics, finance, business or a related field.
• You are interested in financial controlling, process improvement and working with large datasets.
• You have some experience with, or are curious to learn, SQL, VBA, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
• You are interested in using automation and AI tools where relevant to improve processes and create insights from data.
• You can work approx. 10-15 hours a week.
• You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Supporting P&L and settlement calculations as well as month-end closing activities.
• Working with large datasets and investigating differences or unexpected results.
• Using SQL, VBA and Power BI to analyse data and improve controlling tools.
• Helping to automate and optimise processes within controlling, invoicing and accounting.
• Developing reports and analyses that increase transparency and support decision-making.
• Collaborating with experienced controllers and stakeholders across finance and business.
