Job summary

Flatpay is seeking a curious student to join our People team in Denmark as a Student Assistant. You will gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and documentation to updates in HR systems and payroll records, collaborating closely with our People Operations Specialist and People Partner.

From day one you’ll take ownership of tasks, support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, keep our Notion Employee Handbook accurate, and help structure People Operations

Qualifications

• Studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree within HR, business administration, or another relevant field.
• Detail-oriented and discreet with sensitive information.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn more about HR operations.
• Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through.
• Communicates clearly in Danish and English, in writing and verbally.

We’re looking for a curious student to join our People team at Flatpay. This is a hands‑on role, where you’ll get real responsibility from day one and get to work across the full people engine in a fast‑growing international company. About the role

You’ll work with a wide range of operational tasks and gain practical experience across the full employee lifecycle. From preparing job postings and employment contracts and registering new colleagues in our systems to keeping our internal policies and people information up to date. You’ll help ensure a smooth experience for all employees in our Danish organization in close collaboration with our People Operations Specialist and People Partner.

You’ll be trusted with responsibility from the beginning while receiving the support and guidance you need to develop your skills.

Your main tasks will include:

• Preparing employee‑related documents.
• Creating and updating employee information in our HR and payroll systems.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Keeping our Notion Knowledge Hub (Employee handbook) accurate and up to date.
• Supporting the People team with various ad hoc tasks and projects.
• Helping us improve and structure our People Operations processes as we continue to scale.

Who are you?

• You're detail‑oriented, discreet with sensitive information and happy to roll up your sleeves on operational tasks while also contributing ideas on how we can do things better and smarter.
• You're studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree within HR, business administration, or another relevant field – what matters is your curiosity and your care for people and details.
• You're curious, proactive and eager to learn more about HR operations.
• You take ownership of tasks and follows them through.
• You communicate clearly and confidently in both Danish and English, in writing and verbally.
• You're organized and structured as a person, yet flexible - because we scale rapidly!

Most importantly, you have a positive attitude and are motivated to learn. You don’t need to know everything from day one – we’ll make sure you get a thorough introduction to our processes and systems.
