Flatpay is a fintech company building tools that help merchants run their businesses more smoothly. We seek a Product Designer who can turn complex merchant needs into intuitive, reliable experiences for web and mobile.
You will own the end-to-end design process, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to ship customer-centric solutions. A strong portfolio and proficiency in Figma are essential, with on-site work in Copenhagen.
At Flatpay, we're building products that make running a business simpler.
Thousands of merchants rely on our payment solutions every day. As we continue growing across our product surfaces, we're looking for a Product Designer who can turn complex merchant needs into products that are intuitive, reliable, and commercially impactful.
As a Flatpay Product Designer, you'll design for merchants who don't have time for clunky software. As we grow beyond point-of-sale and payments into financial services, online, and beyond, the ambition stays the same: build tools so intuitive and reliable they get out of the way and the merchant can just get on with running their business. That's how we earn trust, not by being flashy, but by being dependable, close to our customers, and genuinely on their side. It's a high bar, and it's yours to hit.
We're looking for someone curious, rigorous, and kind.
Design at Flatpay
We're a small, international design team, six designers across four product domains and growing. What defines us is a genuine commitment to staying close to the people we're designing for: merchant visits, country trips, sharing early and often, and designing in the open. We make space for the bigger conversations too, not just critique of the work, but strategy and growth. How we work is shaped by the people who join, someone introduced a buddy programme pairing colleagues across domains, and it stuck. Growth conversations are built in, kindness is a given, and there's a real seat at the table for someone who wants to help shape what this team becomes.
We're also in the middle of a genuine shift in how design work happens. We've built internal AI tools that let designers prototype with our own product components in minutes, synthesise months of behavioural data into clear user stories, and run market research at scale. We've brought in external coaches, send designers to conferences, and run a company hackathon twice a year, with dedicated time and an open AI budget to experiment. We want teammates genuinely curious about what AI means for the craft, not someone who already knows every tool. We learn best together.
You’ll join an ambitious, metric-driven, fast-growing fintech that believes in the power of personal connections, with our customers and with each other. You’ll work on early-stage products where your design decisions have a sizeable impact on what gets built.
You’ll be an early member of our growing Product Design team, with the room to shape its processes, culture, and your own role. Decision paths are short, and you’ll learn alongside senior leaders with over 15 years' experience.
We have a modern Copenhagen office with an international, vibrant feel, free slush ice, an in-office gym, a fully equipped gamer room, and plenty of other fun things around the place.
