Arla Foods is seeking a Student Assistant in Digital Logistics Development to design, build and improve digital solutions for our logistics operations in Denmark. The role focuses on turning operational needs into practical tools using Power BI, Power Apps, simulations and automation.

You will collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams, translate requirements into technical solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement while gaining hands-on experience across real business processes.

Qualifications

• Student assistant in Digital Logistics Development with focus on Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, simulations and automation.
• Must be pursuing a relevant degree with at least one year remaining.
• Interest in data modelling, databases, APIs and SQL is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Power BI reports, dashboards and decision-support tools.
• Build Power Apps to digitalise operational processes.
• Develop Power Automate flows to reduce manual work.
• Support simulations and digital models for logistics and warehouse processes.
• Use coding/scripting to integrate systems and transform data.
• Create prototypes and MVPs to test new ideas.
• Translate operational requirements into user-friendly digital solutions.
• Test and iterate with users to gather feedback.

The position can be based in either Viby J or Hobro, Denmark.

How You Will Make An Impact

As a Student Assistant in Digital Logistics Development, you will help design, build and improve digital solutions used across our logistics operations.

Your focus will be on turning operational needs into practical digital tools.

You will work closely with users in warehouses, distribution and logistics management to understand their challenges and develop solutions that simplify processes, support better decisions and reduce manual work.

You will participate throughout the development process, from identifying requirements and building prototypes to testing, implementation and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include

• Develop and improve Power BI reports, dashboards and operational decision-support tools.
• Build Power Apps that digitalise and simplify operational processes.
• Develop Power Automate flows and other automations that reduce repetitive manual work.
• Support the development of simulations and digital models for logistics and warehouse processes.
• Use coding and scripting to integrate systems, transform data and develop new functionality.
• Build prototypes and minimum viable products to test new digital ideas.
• Translate operational requirements into practical and user-friendly digital solutions.
• Test solutions together with users and improve them based on feedback.
• Support data integration across different systems, databases and applications.
• Contribute to digitalisation projects across warehouse, distribution and outbound logistics.
• Assist with maintaining, documenting and supporting existing digital solutions.

You do not need to know every technology already, but you should have a strong technical interest and be motivated to learn.

We expect that you

• Are enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree within IT, Software Development, Data
• Science, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain, Logistics or a similar field.
• Have at least one year remaining of your studies. .
• Have experience with, or a strong interest in, Power BI and data modelling.
• Have experience with, or an interest in learning, Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Are interested in simulation, programming, automation and system integration.
• Have knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Have an understanding of databases, APIs, SQL or data integration Arla Internal.
• Can translate business and operational requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Are able to work independently and collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Communicate clearly in Danish and English.
• Can work approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around your studies.

Knowledge of logistics, warehouse operations or supply chain is an advantage, but technical interest, curiosity and willingness to learn are more important.
